Through the generous donations of the Glendora Education Foundation,
GUSD is able to provide music education to all 4th & 5th grade students!
Students may choose between choral and instrumental music. The instrumental music program offers string instruction to fourth grade students (violin, viola, cello or bass). Fifth grade students may choose to continue on their string instrument, or pursue a band instrument (flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, or baritone).

THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT!!
AND SEE THE POSSIBILITIES!!
Check out the link below to see what's going on in the middle schools
Students need to bring instruments, books, and supplies every music day!!!
DO YOU KNOW that your student receives a grade in music? At the elementary level, that grade is based on participation and attitude. If your student forgets their instrument or music book, they are not able to participate in music that day. Students can only miss 2 days of class participation before their grade is affected. For more information on music grades, consult the rubric HERE.
DO YOU KNOW what materials your student needs for his/her instrument? If you're not sure, consult the materials list HERE.
DO YOU KNOW where to get music books and accessories? While the district does not endorse or recommend any particular stores, a list of local music store is provided HERE.
