Meet The Superintendent

Dr. Robert VoorsWelcome to the Glendora Unified School District website. On behalf of the Board of Education, administration and District staff, I hope you find this site helpful in obtaining relevant and important information related to our school district.

Glendora schools combine rigorous, innovative, academic instruction with an emphasis on preparing all of our students in a Four-Year College-Going Culture. We take great pride in fostering parent and community relationships, as well as maintaining a family atmosphere in our schools. A wide range of extracurricular activities compliment the academic experience to provide our students with an overall educational experience not available at all public schools. Student performance in the classroom, in co-curricular endeavors, on statewide tests, and the fact that 92% of our students go onto college after high school graduation bear this out.

Our teachers are life-long learners, caring and compassionate men and women who are dedicated to student success. Our classified staff supports student learning with a wide array of skills and abilities. Our administration supports, leads, and is committed to removing barriers which may prevent students and staff from maximizing their potential. We all benefit from the resolute support of a five member Board of Education elected by our community. Their single agenda is the success of all students and staff in the Glendora Unified School District.

The core mission of our schools is not simply to ensure that students are taught but to ensure that they learn. Our clear focus is Student Achievement, and each of us – students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators and community members should clearly understand how we support that process.

We appreciate you visiting our website and hope that you will stop by this website on a regular basis to read about the good things happening in our school district.

Robert J. Voors, Ed.D.
