The Special Education Program enables children with learning disabilities to receive assistance carefully tailored to their unique learning styles either within the regular classroom or through special classes.
The Limited English Proficiency Program helps students who are not fluent in English to understand and speak the English language. When necessary, they also receive assistance from bilingual aides who speak their primary languages.
The Gifted and Talented Program (GATE) offers children identified as intellectually gifted, high achieving, or talented in an array of enriching and accelerated learning opportunities. At the elementary and middle schools, the GATE teacher provides special activities for these students. At the high school level, GATE students have access to Advanced Placement classes in major academic areas and to classes in fine arts including music, drama, and visual arts.
