Charles J. Gomer, Ph.D. First elected 1997, term expires 11/13 Chuck Gomer is Vice Chairman for Faculty Development in the Department of Pediatrics and Professor of Pediatrics and Radiation Oncology at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. He is also Director of the Radiation Biology Cancer Research Laboratory at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Gomer received his BS degree in Biology from St. Lawrence University and his Ph.D. in Radiation Biology from SUNY Buffalo. He also completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Los Alamos National Laboratories. Chuck and his wife, Tricia, have two daughters that are graduates of the Glendora Unified School District. Dr. Gomer previously served on the SITE Councils at both Sellers Elementary School and Goddard Middle School. He is currently the Board of Education Representative to the Glendora PTA Council and a member of the GUSD College Going Culture Committee. Mike Gautreau Mike Gautreau is a Southern California native. He graduated from West Covina High School , attended the University of California at San Diego and Cal Poly Pomona where he earned a Bachelors of Science degree and Teaching Credential. He has since earned a Masters of Science in Educational Leadership and an Administrative Services Credential. Mike currently serves as the Principal of Covina High School. Before his current position, he served as the Assistant Principal of Bonita High School in La Verne. His teaching career included 11 years at Sandburg Middle School , as well as part-time assignments at Citrus College and Mt. San Antonio College. He coached high school, college, and club swim teams for 19 years. For the past 30 years he has officiated high school and college football, and currently serves as the Instructional Chairman for the California Football Officials Association. His wife Barbara teaches at Glendora High School , and daughters Nicole and Brooke both attend Glendora schools. |

Denice K. Delgado Denice Delgado is a life-long resident of Glendora. She graduated from Goddard Middle School and then from Glendora High School in 1990. After high school, she attended APU and CSU Fullerton before earning her B.S. in Marketing from Cal Poly, Pomona in 1994. While at Cal Poly, Denice was involved in student government and chaired the University Union Board and was very active in her sorority. After college she married her husband Dan, and returned to Cal Poly to get her teaching credential. After teaching in a private school, she began teaching at Sandburg Middle School in 1997. She has three daughters, Cameron, Sydney and Jordan who all attend Glendora schools. Denice gave up teaching to stay home with her children, yet remains actively involved in their education. She served on Site Council at Sellers and served as an advisor to her sorority at Cal Poly for many years. |

Douglas R. Ferrell, P.E. First elected 1999, term expires 11/15 Doug Ferrell is a native Californian and has lived his entire life in the San Gabriel Valley. He completed early education in the Glendora Unified School District, attending Cullen Elementary, Goddard Junior High School, and finally Glendora High School. He then attended Brigham Young University, graduating in 1978 with a BS Degree in Civil Engineering. His time at BYU was interrupted for a 2-year church mission to South America where he served in the country of Ecuador. Doug is currently registered as a Professional Civil Engineer in 16 states and is the president of Patrell Engineering Group, Inc., a Glendora based firm that specializes in the engineering design of recreational water and theme park attractions. Doug and his wife Nancy, also a registered Professional Civil Engineer, are the proud parents of four children, Monica, John, Jeff and Kirsty. Doug and Nancy enjoy their family passion for academics, competitive swimming, and giving service to others in schools, church activities, scouts and booster clubs. |

Doris Blum Doris Blum was born and raised in Pennsylvania. After graduation and working as a medical technician, she moved to Arizona before finally settling in California where she met and married Jerry Blum in 1962. She and Jerry have two children and four grandchildren. Both her children attended Glendora schools and graduated from GHS. Doris first became involved in the District through PTA at Cullen Elementary School in 1971, where she was President. She later served on the PTA Boards at both Goddard and GHS, and continues to be actively involved as Legislation Chairman at both Glendora Council PTA and 1st District PTA. Doris was first elected to the Glendora Board of Education in 1983 and has served for 18 years, 4 terms as President. Doris currently serves on many local, state and national education committees.
