PTA Reflections Content Winners

The following 18 students were recognized as winners of the 2012  PTA Reflections contest with the theme, “Diversity means…”

Literature: Kimberley Wu, Sutherland; Daniel Roman, Sellers; Krystin Gates, Sandburg; and Emily Hermosillo, Glendora High
Dance Choreography:  Courtney Currie, Goddard
Photography:  Anthony Martinez, Cullen; Alexandria De La Torre, Stanton; Blake Manke, Goddard; and Joseph Bazan, Glendora High
Musical Composition:  Vanessa Viyar, Stanton; Avishka Jayasekara, Goddard; and Joseph Bazan, Glendora High
Film Production: Sean Rowley, La Fetra and Ethan Hermosillo, Goddard

At the February 27 Board meeting PTA Reflections Chairperson, Jeanie Turunen, presented awards to the District’s 2012 Reflections contest winners.  She explained that there were 633 entries from 8 schools to the theme “Diversity Means…”; 18 of those were chosen as PTA Glendora Council winners and went on to 1st District PTA competition.  Of those, three won and were selected to move on to the California State level.   Next year the TA Reflections theme is, “The magic of a moment…”.
